Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS)
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is offered by Medicare to eligible children aged between 0 and 17 years. It provides financial support for a basic range of services including check-ups, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings, pulp therapy and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry or any treatments provided under general anaesthesia in a hospital.
Our practice accepts children who are eligible through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Invoices are settled on the day of the appointment the receipt can then be used to claim a portion of the cost back through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule via Medicare.
